End of last year I photographed these 2 gorgeous Shetland Sheepdog (aka Shelties), Jasper and Murphy.
I've known Jasper and Murphy (and their mum) for quite over 7 years now. I actually photographed them back in 2015 before I even knew pet photography was a thing and wanted to practice with some dogs other than my dogs. I didn't really pursue pet photography until 2019 though, and through recent event, I saw Jasper and Murphy again and they booked in for a photo session with me
Because Jasper and Murphy had beautiful long coats, and it was raining a lot during the time we had their session, we had to move the shoot location. We ended up going to Fetherston Gardens, a garden located in Weston Creek, Canberra. I only discovered this garden recently too as it's not that well known. I'm glad I found out about it though before Spring 2022 as I was able to photograph dogs there with beautiful blooming Spring flowers.
Jasper and Murphy's mum loved this images. She ordered a beautiful metal wall art of the first photo with the yellow flowers and a box of fine art matted prints for the other photos.
This proved to be a beautiful keepsake for her as a couple of days after she picked up her wall art and prints, unfortunately Jasper passed away.
I'm glad I was able to create these beautiful images and keepsakes for Jasper and Murphy's mum. It's one of the reasons I started my pet photography business.
