SOUND FAMILIAR?

You talk to your dog like they understand every word. Because honestly, they kind of do.

They know when you've had a hard day before you've said a thing. They're the best part of your morning, the reason you actually go outside, the one who's just always, reliably, there. This is not a small thing. This is one of the great loves of your life.

And yet somehow, when it comes to actually capturing it properly, there's always a reason to wait.

Maybe you've convinced yourself your dog is too anxious, too wriggly, too reactive for a professional session. Maybe every photo you've tried on your phone ends up blurry, or your black dog disappears into a dark silhouette. Maybe you've looked at the price and thought, "not yet".

None of that means it's not possible. It just means no one has designed a session around your dog yet.

Imagine This on Your Wall

Not a USB drive full of files you mean to do something with. Not another folder on your phone. A real portrait of your dog, the way they actually look, printed beautifully and designed specifically for your home.

The way they tilt their head. The look they give you that nobody else gets. The expression that makes you smile every single time. That's what we're here to capture.

And the artwork we create together will still be on your wall in twenty years, long after every phone and hard drive has changed.

Our Mission

Because one day, those photos of your dog will be the most important things you own.

I know this from my own story. I lost my dog Mac in 2019. His photos became the most precious things I own. That is why I do this.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS

I've photographed over 1,000 dogs in six years, including the anxious, reactive and never-sat-still ones. Here's exactly how your session works.

Let's start with your dog.

Before anything is booked, I want to get to know you and your dog properly. Their personality, their quirks, their triggers, their favourite things. Tell me about them, and this is where I start designing your session.

INTRODUCE ME TO YOUR DOG

A session designed around your dog.

Your dog sets the pace. Sniffs, breaks, movement, it's all part of it. Anxious, reactive, bouncy, or utterly relaxed, there hasn't been a dog I couldn't work with.

SEE THE FULL EXPERIENCE

Artwork made for your home.

At your in-person ordering appointment, you'll see your portraits for the first time on a large screen with a proper slideshow. Then we design exactly how they'll look in your home, whether that's wall art, an album, a portrait box, or fine art prints. Something that belongs on your walls, not buried in a hard drive.

What Our Clients Say

"She captures moments, she captures connection and she captures the love between animals and guardians. I treasure the images she took of the dog I have since lost and I love the ones she took of my two recent adoptions. I'll forever be grateful for her calm approach to my crazy dogs and the wonderful images that resulted."

"Every piece feels like artwork, not just a photograph. I was genuinely blown away by how beautifully she captured Oscar and Rikki. She answered every single question I had. Nothing ever felt rushed or dismissed."

Kim, mum to Oscar & Rikki

"I was blown away by how well she navigated the parkland space with two hard to focus dogs and managed to secure professional photographs at the same time. All the while she retained a calm and cheerful disposition. Ina is on top of her game."

"I have recommended Ina to lots of people. She does really well especially with nervous animals, making them feel very comfortable. I've not seen her struggle to get a good photo of a dog."

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, I'm Ina.

Hi, I'm Ina. And as a dog mum I know how deeply you love your pet, because I feel exactly the same way about mine.

I've been photographing dogs in Canberra for six years. Over 1,000 sessions. Dogs who were anxious, reactive, terrified of strangers, convinced they hated cameras. Every single one of them got photographed beautifully.

My three dogs, James, Rosie, and Pippa, all came to me with their own quirks and challenges. I understand difficult dogs because I live with them every day.

Every session is designed around your dog. Not a standard plan. Around them, specifically.

Ready When You Are

Let's start with your dog. Tell me a little about them and what you're hoping to capture, and I'll take it from there. No pressure, no obligation. If it feels right, we'll book a relaxed consultation and design your session together.

I only take a handful of sessions each month, so every dog gets my full attention and the high-touch experience. Autumn and spring are my busiest seasons and usually book out four to six weeks ahead, so if you've been thinking about it, now's a lovely time to start.
